heather cornelius biography
Heather Cornelius received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in 3-Dimensional studies with an emphasis in Ceramics from Pacific Lutheran University in 2007. Directly following she developed her ceramics studio in Tacoma Washington where she maintains her practice. Her work is inspired by personal relationships revealed through dreams and waking experiences. Manifesting in forms of life scale figurative and animal sculptures as well as functional ceramics. Heather is an award winning artist and actively participates in juried exhibitions including The National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA) 2023 in Cincinnati OH, headline exhibition "I Contain Multitudes". Also in 2023 Bainbridge Art and Craft awarded "Best in Show for Body of Work" by guest juror Richard Notkin. Heather continues to be an active member of the art community exhibiting locally and nationally.
