URBAN TRIBAL/Fauna
Natural Shed Whitetail Antlers embellished with hand sewn beaded band using shell, crystal, precious and mixed metal beads.
Stands of various materials.
I am/was a jewelry maker. I am currently going through a period of change and transition. My passion for jewelry making somehow got lost in the politics of now. I still have the passion to be creative, but making jewelry has to me become a silent muse. My arts focus has morphed into a need to say something more important. After a trip to visit friends in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, something changed in me. Deep friendships immersed and a renewed appreciation of our changing environment and climate. Realizing this began a new exploration with my beaded banding, (still my passion) incorporating naturally shed antlers and park pruned branches give way to new ownership, and hopefully a gentle reminder to be aware of, and to take care of our world and all that lives on It.
