Ryan Hamburger
Ryan Hamburger is a Seattle-based artist and art teacher whose work delves into the depths of the human experience — exploring what lies at the heart, and the edges, of society, the mind, and the heart. Through his art, Ryan seeks connection, understanding, and acceptance by confronting his own inner world and the complexities of the world around him.
Originally from California, Ryan discovered his artistic voice through photography studies that revealed a profound means of self-expression. After earning his BFA in Fine Art Photography from the Academy of Art University, Ryan relocated to Seattle to explore what it truly means to live and work as an artist.
Drawing inspiration from science fiction, fantasy, interpersonal trauma, and contemporary social issues, Ryan’s work balances darkness with light—searching for moments of hope amid struggle and transformation.
